Hardcopy & Production Services

Scientific Computing and Visualization offers the following services at very reasonable rates and accepts a variety of methods of payment:

• 35mm color slides - Film recording of computer graphics files.
• Video tape - Recordings of computer graphics animations.
• Mass Storage Facility - access to the Information Technology Mass Storage Facility for long term archiving of very large files on tape.
• Archiving files to your own tapes and CDs - this service is no longer available directly to users but if you need this done, contact us at help@lego.bu.edu and we will try to help you.
• No longer available.
• Color printing services - we no longer offer color printing services. As an alternative, you may want to try FedEx Kinko's at 700 Commonwealth Avenue ((617) 358-2679) for standard color printing or B. L. Makepeace ((617) 782-3800) for large-format printing.
• Scanning service - We no longer offer a scanning service but you can do self-service scanning via the Personal Computing Support Center.

Our services, software and facilities are generally only accessible from SCV supported machines such as the Linux Cluster and the IBM pSeries systems.
