Final Project Planning

Concepting the final virtual world |

One to two class periods, and also discussions through semester. |
Synopsis |
Students will develop the concept for their Virtual World. They will develop ideas, images, sounds, language, music through discussions with teachers, guest artists, and among themselves. |
Description of Class |
Discussion, sharing of ideas, use of large dry erase board so students can write down key words and concepts. |
Primary Educational Objective |
To plan how they will implement their final project. The Virtual World the students create for the Deep Vision Display wall is a collaborative effort. Each student will design some element (specific images, music, language, geography layout, etc.) and discuss how they will do this as a group. |

Assessment |
Final Project will be viewed by the students at an open-house. This will be like an art opening they can invite community members, tribal officials and others. The Virtual World should be complete and include visual imagery, sound, language, music, and perhaps use of movement through animation or LOGO. |
Classroom Activities |
Discussions and individual work to construct the virtual world. Students will be using all of the software they have learned thus far (corel, audacity, logo, maya). |
