Ribbons
In order to display "twist" information in a vector field,
we need to use something which gives more local frame
than a tube can. One method for doing this is to think of two particles
as a pair joined by a line segment, and look at the "ribbon" which
that line segment sweeps out.
Here is a ribbon display of our vector filed, colored by the scalar
values.
The same ribbon display combined with two slice planes.
