OpenGL Examples

Description

The OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) examples below were originally developed for the 2008 Workshop on Scientific Visualization by Erik Brisson (ebrisson@bu.edu). For basic info on using this package on the SCV systems, consult our OpenGL Basics help page.

Tar file of examples if you wish to dowload the entire set.

Using the examples

After you have downloaded and uncompressed the examples, go to the "materials" directory and follow the instructions below.
To make the examples:
    % make all
To run:
    % cube
      
    % dinospin
      
    % glutplanes
      
    % simple_xyzc ../data/cmap/density256.cmap sph.xyzc
      

The first three examples (cube, dinospin, glutplanes) are part of the example set at opengl.org glut examples web page.
