As a partner of the NSF-funded National Computational Science Alliance, Boston University's Scientific Computing and Visualization (SCV) group is offering a two day Workshop on Virtual Reality Techniques for Scientific Visualization, taught be members of the SCV staff.
This workshop is aimed at faculty, students, and other scientists who are interested in VR facilities such as the CAVE and Immersadesk as a tool for scientific research, including computational steering, data exploration and evaluation, presentation and education.
Topics to be covered:
The workshop will take place on the Boston University Charles River Campus on Thursday and Friday, June 17-18, 1999. Participation is free and open to all researchers. Pre-registration is required. To allow participation in the hands-on lab sessions, those without existing accounts should request accounts in conjunction with their registration.
