Directions
The Boston University Charles River campus is located near Kenmore Square in Boston. Most of the buildings are along Commonwealth Avenue which goes through Kenmore square, and near the Boston University Bridge across the Charles River. Scientific Computing and Visualization (SCV) is part of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and its location (at 111 Cummington Street) is shown on the map below.
Once inside the 111 Cummington Street entrance, IT's front office is located on the street level, through a wooden door on the left, just inside the entrance. Front office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Basement locations (including B17 and B25) are down the stairs to the right.

 Directions to the Charles River Campus from the South or West:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East to Exit 18, Allston/Cambridge. Exit left. Follow signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights. Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive. Exit Storrow Drive at the Kenmore Exit.
Directions to the Charles River Campus from the Southeast:
Take I-93 Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit.
Directions to the Charles River Campus from the North:
Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Exit.
  Public Transportation:
Boston University is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the "BU-East" stop on the "B" branch of the MBTA Green Line.
Local Directions From the Kenmore Square/Commonwealth Avenue exit off of Storrow Drive:
At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. At this point, the road forks. Stay to the right to get on Bay State Road. At the third intersection, turn left onto Sherborn Street. At the traffic light, go straight through the light to cross Commonwealth Avenue. Sherborn Street becomes Blandford Street. At the end, turn right onto Cummington Street. The Office of Information Technology is located on the first floor of 111 Cummington Street.
- Scientific Computing and Visualization Group (SCV) - if you have an appointment with SCV personnel, please check with the administrative assistant at the OIT front desk.
- Computer Graphics Laboratory - go up to the second floor, then turn left. Proceed to Room 203.
- Access Grid Conference Room - go down one flight to the basement level. Turn right and proceed to Room B17.
- Workshop/Tutorial classroom B25 - go down one flight to the basement level. Turn right and proceed to Room B25.
Parking is available for $12.00 per day at Warren Towers, 700 Commonwealth Avenue. If you followed the above direction (from Kenmore Square), after turning right onto Cummington, make another right turn onto Hinsdale Street. The entrance to the Warren Tower Parking Lot is on your left.
Parking is also available for $6.00 per day at 808 Commonwealth Avenue.
