Subject: SciDAC Tutorials Workshop - June 29th at MIT
The DOE Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing Program
(SciDAC) is exploiting the emerging capabilities of Petascale
computing for fundamental advances in physics, climate research,
groundwater migration, fusion energy, life sciences, materials, and
chemistry. As a complement to the SciDAC 2007 Conference June 24-28,
the SciDAC Tutorials Workshop June 29 at MIT will provide hands-on
tutorials featuring key SciDAC software and computational tools.
Full information including abstracts of the tutorials is provided at:
http://www.scidac.gov/Conference2007/tutorials/index.html
The SciDAC Tutorials Workshop is open to all physical scientists,
mathematicians, computer scientists, and computational scientists,
and we anticipate participation both by attendees of SciDAC 2007
and local students, postdocs, and researchers. There is no workshop
fee, but registration in advance is required, and in the event of
over-subscription, space in the tutorials will be allocated according
to the order of registration. Participants should bring their
own laptops for wireless access the tutorial software. Limited
financial support for travel is available, as described on the
registration page.
